The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Auto Liability Claims Adjuster to join our team. As a key member of our claims organization, you will be responsible for analyzing, investigating, and resolving complex claims with minimal to moderate complexity.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and analyze claims to determine liability and extent of damages
- Conduct thorough investigations, including telephone contacts with involved parties, to gather information and evidence
- Use technical expertise and complex analysis to evaluate claims and negotiate settlements
- Handle claims with moderate complexity, severity, and exposures, including personal and commercial claims
- Implement effective management techniques to mitigate loss and expense payments
- Work within specific limits and authority on assignments of moderate technical complexity
- Provide training and mentoring to adjusters as needed
- 4+ years of prior Bodily Injury claims handling experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- Dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to negotiate skillfully in difficult situations with both internal and external groups
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of applicable statutes, regulations, and case law
- Thinks critically and anticipates, recognizes, identifies, and develops solutions to problems in a timely manner
