Family Medicine APRN/PA

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate APRN/PA to join our team at Variety Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals of all ages.
Job Summary:The APRN/PA will work closely with our medical staff to provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including physical examinations, screenings, and assessments. You will also be responsible for ordering and performing tests and procedures, interpreting data and diagnostic results, and developing and implementing individualized health care plans.
Responsibilities:- Provide quality, comprehensive, and accessible patient care through clinical expertise, role modeling, mentoring, consultation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Perform clinical decision-making that is professional and based on evidence-based practice.
- Follow protocols that provide medical authority when indicated in providing care.
- Perform physical examinations, screenings, and assessments of patients.
- Select orders and/or perform tests and procedures to augment physical findings.
- Utilize appropriate laboratory tests using prescribed methods and techniques; determine normal and abnormal test results; and develop a health care plan based upon analyzed data.
- Define and document differential diagnoses and lists differential diagnoses with most likely diagnoses included.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as deemed necessary and appropriate for plan of care, in collaboration with supervising physician.
- Interpret data and diagnostic results for appropriate course of action, including radiology reports, EKG, pathology, etc.
- Secure health histories from patients and note findings and treatment course in patient electronic health chart, including follow-up notes.
- Under direct and indirect supervision of a physician, diagnose and implement a comprehensive medical care plan based upon the patient's health needs.
- Provide continuity to an individualized health care program for patients by referring to or collaborating with Variety Care physicians and other members of the health care team.
- Provide instruction and counseling to individuals, families, and/or groups and respect the patient's personal desires in support of a caring environment focused on patient's desired outcomes, healing, and preventive care.
- Identify health care needs within the community and make recommendations on comprehensive health care for patients.
- Assist in planning and providing in-service training as needed.
- Follow HIPAA guidelines and Variety Care policy and procedures as it relates to privacy.
- Provide Telehealth services from remote locations connected to a reliable internet resource, including a provider's home when necessary.
- Recognition as a Nurse Practitioner by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing Registration and Nursing Education.
- Certification by the appropriate national Certified Nurse Practitioner organization.
- Three (3) years' experience as a licensed professional RN.
- Demonstrates the ability to work effectively and tactfully with the public and co-workers.
- Exercises good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions, and in expressing ideas effectively both orally and in writing.
- Possesses skill in maintaining medical records.
- Possesses a desire to service patients and be self-motivated.
- Ability to work in a multi-fact, fast-paced environment.
- One to three years of prior work experience a plus, but other experience and new graduates considered.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Able to lift at least 25 pounds.
- Able to assist patients on to and off of exam table when asked or directed.
