We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Survey Crew Chief to join our team at Diamond Ridge Construction in Lisle, IL. In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a dedicated field crew team in conducting land surveys and data collection.

The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to build and maintain databases for efficient data management, with applicable skills in data collection techniques. They will also be competent in solo surveying work and working as part of a crew, with experience in using surveying equipment such as theodolites and electronic distance measuring equipment.

We require a High school diploma and 4+ years of field experience in land surveying. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is also essential. If you have a strong ability to collaborate with Professional Land Surveyor and ensure survey projects are completed accurately and on schedule, we encourage you to apply for this challenging role.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and supervising a field crew team in conducting land surveys and data collection
  • Using advanced GIS technologies for effective mapping and data management
  • Collaborating with Professional Land Surveyor to ensure survey projects are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Performing boundary and right-of-way calculations
  • Conducting legal research
  • Supervising data collection for preliminary surveys
  • Using theodolites and electronic distance measuring equipment to measure angles, distances, and elevations

Requirements:

  • High school diploma and 4+ years of field experience in land surveying
  • Competent in solo surveying work and working as part of a crew
  • Experience with surveying equipment
  • Strong ability to build and maintain databases for efficient data management
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
