Job Summary

The Speech Therapist Clinical Fellow will address receptive and expressive communication skills, oral motor skills, and feeding skills for children. This role is part of a collaborative team working with families and professionals to meet the needs of children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work cooperatively with families, caregivers, and other professionals to address outcomes of the IFSP and IEP.
  • Provide documentation required by Lancaster County Early Intervention and Early Intervention Quality Measurement Tool.
  • Provide accurate documentation for the Early Childhood Services Department.
  • Maintain professional standards of continued education.
  • Assess and evaluate enrolled children as required by the IFSP.
  • Manage schedule, client caseload, paperwork, and preparation time efficiently.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Consult with parents and caregivers in the community setting.
  • Provide direct intervention supports as per the IFSP.
  • Participate in the development of the IFSP with parents/caregivers and early intervention team.
  • Maintain professional documentation within established timelines.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Speech Pathology from an ASHA accredited program.
  • Provisional licensure in the state of PA and eligibility for a Clinical Fellowship Year in accordance with ASHA guidelines.
  • Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Child Protective Service Act (Act 33) compliance and FBI clearance.
Working Conditions

Primarily in homes or community locations and preschools with unknown environmental challenges. Office time with exposure to toners and ink cartridges.

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, work, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Employment Experience

Experience in an Early Intervention program or pediatric setting preferred but not required.
