The successful candidate will employ sophisticated simulation methodologies to explore the effects of multiple wakes on the MABL, utilizing the Dedalus framework alongside immersed boundary techniques. This position entails executing simulations, interpreting data, and corroborating findings with wind tunnel data supplied by academic partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute Dedalus simulations of wind turbines within the MABL
  • Utilize Python and relevant scientific libraries for data analysis
  • Resolve challenges associated with complex simulation frameworks
  • Establish validation protocols for simulation outcomes
  • Disseminate research findings at academic conferences and collaborative meetings
Requirements:

Education: A PhD in atmospheric science, oceanography, physics, applied mathematics, or a related discipline is required.
