Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Load Builder to join our team at ProBuild. As a Load Builder, you will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, assembling load packages, and ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods to customer job sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trucks, or customer vehicles
  • Assemble load packages into trucks for delivery to customer job sites
  • Read work orders or follow oral instructions to determine materials to be moved or loaded
  • Convey materials to or from storage to designated areas using hand trucks, electric dollies, forklifts, or other devices
  • Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers
Requirements
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and three (3) months experience performing these or similar tasks
  • Forklift certification required
  • Knowledge of company products sufficient to take into account weight, shape, and handling requirements
  • Ability to read and write to handle work orders and labeling tasks
  • Manual dexterity and ability to use simple hand tools

Work is performed within a production or yard environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, equipment noise, and dust. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 80 pounds.
