Position Summary: The Cook II/Alternate Manager is responsible for preparing large quantities of food using various cooking techniques, including the preparation of beef, poultry, fish, and vegetables. This role involves seasoning and cooling all types of meats, fish, and poultry, as well as boiling, steaming, or frying vegetables. The position also includes making gravies, soups, sauces, roasts, meat pies, fricassees, casseroles, and stews. This role does not include food service supervisors and head cooks who oversee kitchen operations. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently.
- Develop and maintain all project-related documentation, including project scopes, budgets, requirements, timelines, and internal meetings.
- Monitor food quality and service standards.
- Manage the budget for all food and business support programs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in volume food preparation and service within the last 10 years, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role that included planning, scheduling, and directing staff in food preparation and service.
- Certification in Food Service is required.
