At Inizio Partners Corp, we are seeking an experienced Data Science Portfolio Manager to lead our data-driven initiatives and shape the vision for our data products.

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with a strong background in data science and product management to join our team. As a Data Science Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs and developing a roadmap for data-driven initiatives that align with strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of business needs and work with stakeholders to create a comprehensive roadmap for data-driven initiatives.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and designers to ensure that products get built efficiently, meet user needs, and provide actionable insights.
  • Analyze data sources, technologies, and vendors to inform the data product roadmap and create necessary diagrams and models to convey requirements.
  • Accountable for developing and achieving product-level KPIs and managing products with a moderate degree of strategy, scope, and complexity.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security by establishing data governance frameworks and implementing data management best practices.
  • Collaborate with technology and business leadership to align system/application integrations with business goals and priorities.
  • Own and maintain the product backlog and prioritize its contents to ensure clear, actionable user stories.
  • Sets priorities and participates in squad/team quarterly planning, collaborating with senior Product Owners to set program priorities.
  • Sets expectations with stakeholders for delivery of new capabilities, features, and functionalities and participates in team demos, retrospectives, and other ceremonies.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience in the Insurance industry (Actuarial background preferred).
  • Experience with implementing and owning development of product/platforms across pricing/underwriting lifecycle.
  • Experience working with platforms like HXRenew, Runway.
  • Good understanding of data technologies, such as databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
  • Familiar with programming languages, such as Python/R/SQL/SAS or cloud technologies like AWS, Azure.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands effectively.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.

Compensation: The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
