As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in the delivery of quality care to pediatric patients in accordance with individual patient needs, physician orders, department policies and procedures, and standards of practice.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients to determine their occupational therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement treatment programs to help patients develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide education to patients and families on occupational therapy techniques and strategies.
- Document all treatment accurately and maintain patient records.
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent education if trained outside of the U.S.).
- Current Texas license or eligibility for licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good problem-solving ability to determine best methods to address patient problems.
