OCTOPI - CELLAR OPERATIONS BREWER

Available Shift: Monday - Thursday 2pm-12am

Total compensation includes a base rate of $22/hr plus a second shift premium of $3/hr. The base salary for this position may vary based on experience.

We are a rapidly expanding facility seeking to enhance our workforce. Our environment is equipped with modern machinery that aids brewers in executing various beverage production tasks.

Position Overview: The Cellar Operations Brewer is tasked with executing a range of cellar activities and ensuring the quality and efficiency of cellar operations. Responsibilities encompass batching, fermentation, overseeing beverage production, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, among other duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehend and operate all cellar piping and machinery, with an initial focus on batching processes.
  • Conduct cleaning and sanitization of all equipment and piping.
  • Master and execute all cellar processes, including beer finishing, yeast management, transfers, batching, blending, and non-beer related operations.
  • Consistently produce in-spec products.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and standard operating procedures for all tasks.
  • Follow all personal protective equipment and good manufacturing practices requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Capability to lift 55lbs and maneuver 165lbs as required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills in a brewing or manufacturing context.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility in working hours.

Education and Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a brewing or production setting is advantageous.
  • A degree in Brewing Science/Technology is a plus.
