The Procurement Manager at Danaher Manufacturing will oversee the hardware purchasing team, focusing on inventory management, item setup, and procurement of raw materials essential for hardware production. This role is critical in maintaining optimal inventory levels to meet company objectives and customer needs.

This position is integral to the Integrated Supply Chain Team and will report to the Director of Materials & Planning, overseeing all supply chain functions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the hiring process and manage the performance of direct reports.
  • Develop comprehensive supply plans that align with forecasts, material availability, and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Implement targeted improvements in Supplier On-Time Delivery, Margin Expansion, Working Capital turns, Inventory, and related KPIs using Danaher Business System (DBS) methodologies.
  • Ensure timely provision of materials to manufacturing areas based on production schedules.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with functional leaders and teams to fully support business objectives.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives, including managing Excess and Obsolete materials, aged inventory, and scrap.
  • Communicate potential stockouts and related issues to executive management and relevant stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 7+ years of experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a leadership role within Procurement or Materials Planning.
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP systems, with a preference for Oracle experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated interpersonal leadership in a high-volume environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an FDA/ISO-regulated setting.
  • Familiarity with Kanban and other lean methodologies.
