About the Role

As a Phlebotomist at Takeda, you will play a vital role in collecting high-quality plasma from donors, which will be used to create life-changing medicines. Your commitment to customer service and quality will be essential in ensuring the success of our plasma donation centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet donors and ensure a positive experience throughout their visit
  • Perform venipuncture and program plasmapheresis machines
  • Monitor donors during the donation process and manage any reactions
  • Set up, verify, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment
  • Stock supplies, break down empty cartons, and dispose of waste properly
  • Take and record donor vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, and temperature
  • Enter donor information into the Donor Information System (DIS)
  • Coordinate donors to the donor floor and compensate them using the Debit Card system
  • Support the center management team in identifying operational opportunities for continuous improvement
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
  • Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 5 lbs. and occasionally lift materials up to 32 lbs.
  • Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
  • Prolonged glove wear required due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens
