Senior Renewable Energy Technologist

Deriva Energy is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Technologist, Renewables to provide technical expertise, solve complex problems, and utilize leadership skills to oversee governance of specific program areas, often on a fleet-wide basis.
Incumbents engage in strategic oversight and management of work in composite repair, with minimal supervision. They are expected to have advanced skills and work independently. This position requires a high level of safety awareness and the ability to continually convey that to the team.
Responsibilities:- Provides subject matter expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems.
- Requires full engagement with the industry to constantly assess how The Company's program is structured and implement best practices.
- Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective leadership planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities of self and others.
- Independently prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches.
- Strives to continually improve job-related, technical, and professional knowledge, skills, and performance.
- Assists in developing appropriate curriculum to develop others in given area of subject matter expertise.
- Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities.
- Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills.
- Maintains accurate records and files.
- When not actively engaged in technical specialty work, incumbent will assist in whatever capacity able to assist facility staff where they are presently assigned.
- Supports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally.
- Coaches and mentors' other technical specialty Technologists.
This position requires 80% travel, throughout the United States, and working outdoors in a wide variety of conditions from an elevated platform/position.
Basic Qualifications:- Associate's or equivalent in Electrical Motor Controls
- 6+ years of substation hands-on work experience
- NFPA qualified
- Associates or equivalent in Electrical Motor Controls
- 10 Years of Related Work Experience
- NFPA 70E qualified
- Read and understand Electrical System As Built Drawings.
- Use of High Voltage Test Equipment (Doble, Megger, Vanguard, Raytech, Etc.)
- Relay Testing and Data Retrieval
- Troubleshooting of all Substation Bulk Electric System assets.
- Understanding of Dissolved Gas Analysis
- Basic Understanding of Thermography
- Able to perform Underground Cable Fault Detection and
- Understanding of Transformer Degasification Processing
- Able to perform Breaker Testing and Maintenance
- Air switch Installations and Maintenance knowledge
- Proficient in applying principles of project management
- Expired or Active CPR
- First Aid
- Telescopic Forklift
- Aerial Lifts
