About the Role

CNS Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral Health Home (BHH) team, you will play a critical role in assessing the needs of individuals, developing personalized care plans, and supporting their progress towards recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals' mental health and substance use disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address chronic behaviors and promote improvement strategies
  • Collaborate with primary care physicians, mental health professionals, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide brief interventions and support individuals in identifying and accessing community-based resources
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community-based mental health and substance use providers
Requirements
  • Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) certification or licensure
  • At least a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of mental illness, medications, and interventions used to treat psychiatric disorders
  • Ability to write clear, concise reports and formulate effective treatment plans
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and electronic health records (EHRs)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Education, Psychology, or a related field
  • State licensure or certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Psychologist (LP)
  • Greater than one year of experience in treating and working with adults with severe mental illness (SMI)
