Job Summary

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our Inpatient Main Pharmacy team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the daily organization and supervision of medication management activities across the medical center.

This is a full-time position with rotating days/evenings, Monday - Friday. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical pharmacy practice, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical and drug distribution services to patients and healthcare teams.
  • Supervise and coordinate medication management activities across the medical center.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely medication administration.
  • Develop and implement medication use policies and procedures.
  • Conduct medication therapy reviews and provide recommendations to healthcare teams.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Pharm.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Completion of a PGY1 and/or PGY2 residency or equivalent practice experience.
  • Current pharmacist licensure in the State of California.
  • BLS certification as outlined in the Pharmacist Responsibilities in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (C.P.R.) and Code Blue Procedure: Pharmacy Policy and Procedure.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of a PGY1 and/or PGY2 residency or equivalent practice experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology as related to drug usage.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of common disease states and pathologies.
  • Ability to comprehend patient medical management plans.
  • Ability to assess and apply current pharmacological and biopharmaceutical principles for the selection and use of drug products in a clinical setting.
