Construction Estimator

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team at Allegheny Construction Group. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately assessing the costs of various new construction and renovation projects.

• Grasp project scope and requirements, identifying potential risks, challenges, and opportunities for value engineering.
• Develop and document detailed takeoffs, identifying and quantifying material, labor, and equipment costs for each project component.
• Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to assemble accurate pricing for materials and services, qualify proposals, and ensure adherence to company standards and profitability goals.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, architects, and other project stakeholders to develop budgets and cost projections.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, scope reviews, and client presentations, vendor negotiations, and buyouts, as necessary.
• Stay current with industry trends and market pricing.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or experience is preferred.
• Proven conceptual and hard bid estimating experience as a commercial construction Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices, methods, and materials, as well as familiarity with building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
• Excellent math and analytical skills, a keen attention to detail, and ability to multi-task while balancing priorities and deadlines for multiple projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
