We are seeking a skilled Construction Consultant to join our team at Pyrovio.

Job Overview

This is a field-based role that requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team. The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of implementing construction process improvements in an industrial or construction environment.

The position involves traveling to/from field projects to implement and audit a construction planning program, which can be up to 90% of the time. A valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities
  • Share and educate construction team members on concepts such as Last Planner, including principles like look-ahead plans, weekly work plans, percent plan complete, increased site visualization, daily huddles, and other construction methods.
  • Document current problems and understand root causes of construction inefficiencies and errors.
  • Facilitate discussions towards implementing construction process improvements, collect feedback, develop recommendations, and pilot solutions.
  • Collaborate with others to create process improvement programs, including process documentation, checklists, work instructions, system requirements, system roll-out processes, etc.
  • Provide feedback on cross-functional relationships between Project Development, Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, Finance, Construction Management, etc.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of field experience in Construction Management.
  • 5+ years' experience in field Project Management.
  • 5+ back-office experience in Project Management, including Planning, Scheduling, Document Preparation, Information Management, etc.
  • Experience in developing and implementing program improvements in an Industrial/Construction environment.
  • General knowledge of construction site safety.
  • Familiarity with construction best practices, lean construction, and other construction process improvement tools.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Construction Technology Management, Construction Management, or Construction Engineering.
  • Experience in the Electrical Transmission Industry.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year.
