FusionWorks is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to support our scientific project leaders in all administrative and financial aspects of their research projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist scientific project leaders with administrative and financial tasks related to their research projects.
  • Act as a liaison between scientific and administrative requirements.
  • Ensure proper management and use of third-party funding from national and international sources, including the EU.
  • Advise and support researchers in the appropriate use of project funds and compliance with funding guidelines.
  • Financial and timeline project control, including preparing and processing funding requests, expense reports, audits, and communication with funding agencies.
  • Advise and support researchers in budget planning, fund usage, and reporting.

Requirements:

  • A degree in business or public administration (Bachelor, Diploma) or a comparable qualification, or a completed commercial, administrative, or similar training.
  • Professional experience in project controlling for economic projects or other funding sources is desirable.
  • Strong numerical and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work with deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Fluent in German (equivalent to C1 level) and good English skills.
