TYLin International is seeking a highly skilled Bridge Engineer to join our team. As a key technical role in both conventional and alternative delivery bridge projects, this position requires experience in the supervision and execution of design calculations and reports, as well as the preparation of drawings for projects.
Responsibilities- Project Management: Supervise the development of design concepts and reports, working closely with clients and design/build contractors.
- Design and Analysis: Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, calculations, specifications, and drawings for structural design projects, including bridges, tunnels, and walls.
- Construction Engineering: Lead construction engineering support efforts on designated projects, participating in key technical roles in local and major bridge projects.
- Quality Assurance: Review and check design calculations and reports for compliance with applicable codes and department standards, as well as review project drawings for accuracy and completeness.
- Team Leadership: Assure the timely delivery of quality work products and services, leading and/or participating in in-depth study projects, and coordinating and overseeing technical approvals.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an engineering program accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc (EAC/ABET). Master's degree preferred.
- At least 4 years of structural design experience in bridges and other transportation-related structures.
- Advanced knowledge of structural design and analysis software, including SAP2000, CSI Bridge, VBridge, and VBent or LEAP Bridge, LPile, and column and frame ductility programs.
- Excellent technical skills, with a strong commitment to innovation and collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team.
- High levels of integrity, with a focus on giving clients the best solutions.
