Key Responsibilities of the Procurement Planner:
  • Negotiate with vendors to obtain favorable conditions regarding pricing, inventory levels, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Acquire production raw materials to guarantee timely delivery, managing expedited and deferred shipments as necessary.
  • Solicit quotes from suppliers and explore alternative sourcing options to enhance product quality, customer satisfaction, and cost efficiency.
  • Develop and oversee reports and schedules, ensuring optimal inventory levels are maintained.
  • Foster and sustain positive relationships with both new and existing suppliers, addressing issues in a fair and ethical manner.
  • Generate Purchase Orders in line with quality system protocols related to ISO 9001:2015.
  • Manage and distribute monthly supplier performance evaluations and forecasting reports.
  • Collaborate with production and project teams to identify their needs.
  • Engage in corporate Supply Chain initiatives and project work, including cost-reduction sourcing projects and actions related to Engineered Product Offerings (EPO's).
  • Address invoice discrepancies and receiving challenges.
  • Work closely with various departments on a daily basis.
Qualifications and Requirements for the Procurement Planner:
  • A minimum of an Associate Degree in a relevant field along with 2 years of purchasing experience, or at least 5 years of purchasing experience.
  • Proficient understanding of MRP system planning.
