Job Summary

As a Support Professional, you will provide instruction and teaching assistance to our students in various environments. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one or small group instruction to teach new skills to our students.
  • Facilitate participation in recreational and physical education activities that promote socialization and skill-building.
  • Support students during off-campus community-based activities, such as outings and field trips.
  • Collect data to measure student progress and inform instruction.
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to help students meet their educational and life goals.
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including hygiene and toileting support.
  • Serve as a positive role model and demonstrate patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students who may display challenging behaviors.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate or Bachelor's degree desired.
  • Experience working with individuals with cognitive and physical disabilities, although a desire to make a difference in people's lives is more important than specific experience.
Benefits

The Faison Center offers a competitive salary of $43,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We also provide:
