Bureau Veritas Group is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Greece. As a Mechanical Engineer - Project Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation of engineering designs and specifications on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the client's site team to manage technical queries raised by construction contractors.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to construction contractors to ensure the successful implementation of engineering designs and specifications.
  • Review and analyze technical queries and issues raised by contractors, and work with the site team to develop appropriate solutions.
  • Coordinate with the design and engineering team to address any technical concerns or modifications required during the construction phase.
  • Ensure that mechanical systems and equipment installed on-site meet the project's design requirements, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in the commissioning and testing of mechanical systems to ensure their proper functioning and performance.
  • Contribute to the overall project management by providing technical expertise, monitoring progress, and identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting related to the mechanical engineering aspects of the project.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the mining or heavy industry sector, preferably in copper-gold porphyry deposit projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and construction practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations applicable to the mining industry.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with the site team and construction contractors.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
