Job Title: Bike Mechanic

Trek Travel is seeking a skilled Bike Mechanic to join our Logistics Team in Madison, Wisconsin. As a Bike Mechanic, you will be responsible for providing our cycling guides with the best equipment and operational support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair and maintain our bike fleet, including road and e-bikes.
  • Track maintenance items on a bike-by-bike basis.
  • Load and unload equipment and bikes from vans and trailers.
  • Manage inventory and receive, and inventory bikes, parts, and equipment as needed.
  • Box and ship bikes and equipment.
  • Organize and maintain the Madison warehouse, upholding and exceeding standards for organization and stocking.
  • Track and report on service inventory and other tasks as needed.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of bike mechanics experience, with a strong understanding of Shimano Di2 and Hydraulic Road braking systems.
  • Valid Driver's license with passenger endorsement and a Passport for travel throughout the US and Europe.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and a focus on customer service.

Trek Travel is a company that values continuous improvement, encourages feedback, and gives it all we've got, all the time. This is a part-time non-exempt position based in Madison, Wisconsin, and reports to the Logistics Manager. Interest in the active travel industry is beneficial, but not necessary. This is a seasonal position from October-March, working approximately 740 hours total.
