About the UnitThe HICU is a 20-bed unit that provides care for patients who require attention for acute brain injuries, respiratory assistance, or special monitoring. Our team takes a collaborative approach to patient care, utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, implement clinical nursing interventions, and develop patient care plans to enhance outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Assume leadership roles as needed, including charge nurse responsibilities
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of unit policies and procedures
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a current LPN license and AHA BLS CPR certification. You should also possess basic computer skills and experience with Synquest, IV Pump, Phillips Monitoring System, Accucheck, and EKG Machine.
