About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for preparing and performing radiological imaging procedures to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and perform radiological imaging procedures in a physician practice or outpatient clinic setting.
  • Read and comprehend imaging orders, engaging with physicians when orders are unclear, complex, or warrant deeper review.
  • Interview patients to understand risk factors that may warrant a more in-depth examination for safety.
  • Upload imaging results into Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and record information into Electronic Medical Recordkeeping (EMR) system.
  • Facilitate office visits and gather patient information as needed.
  • Perform a range of clinical tasks to support a cross-functional clinical team, including phlebotomy and lab tests.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Science.
  • Registration as Radiologic Technologist from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Good understanding of human anatomy, established through education or experience.
  • Experience reading and interpreting radiology orders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using point-of-care-testing platforms.
  • Experience working with a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
  • Experience working in a clinical practice.
  • Current Medical Assistant certification.
  • Experience working with EPIC.
