About the Position

The Operations Supervisor is a key role within the Kenco Group, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse and distribution environment. This position requires a strong leader who can direct the work of associates, ensure the safety and quality of work, and drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work Planning and Scheduling: Determine work volume, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow to ensure maximum cost effectiveness within the department.
  • Associate Management: Assign duties, examine work for quality, neatness, and conformity to policies and procedures, and issue written and oral instructions as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Schedule job assignments for periodic and/or special inventories, and monitor, direct, and perform the accurate shipping of outbound orders.
  • Employee Development: Mentor and coach associates, including corrective actions and performance evaluations, and assist in the development of processes and process improvements.
  • Safety and Compliance: Assist the Safety Advocate with all aspects of the Safety Program and participate on the Safety Committee, and ensure associate accountability in accordance with corporate standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college, or equivalent related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in warehousing, distribution, or related required, and minimum of six months supervisory experience.
  • Skills: PC and computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
