We are seeking a highly skilled Grounds Manager to join our team at HES Facilities, a premier national provider of facilities management services focused 100% on educational institutions. As a Grounds Manager, you will be responsible for leading the grounds crew and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our landscaping and grounds maintenance services.

The ideal candidate will have experience in lawn care, landscaping, and equipment operation, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills. You will be expected to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and ensure that all work is completed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities will include preparing trucks for the day, performing grounds keeping on properties, planting and flower installation, and performing maintenance on equipment. You will also be required to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision, and be flexible to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.

The successful candidate will have a high school degree or equivalent, some experience in lawn care, and the ability to operate various lawn care machinery. You will be a problem solver with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

This role requires physical stamina, with heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of equipment and materials, leverage of up to 80 lbs, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, bending and kneeling for extended periods, and working in extreme weather conditions. The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
