Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in phlebotomy and medical assisting, with excellent teaching skills and experience working with diverse populations.

Responsibilities
  • Teach lecture, lab, and clinical courses as needed, utilizing various instructional techniques to engage students with different learning styles.
  • Implement college policies, objectives, and functions in accordance with South College's philosophy, promoting an inclusive and equitable work environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, providing prompt and constructive feedback on assignments, skill assessments, and other work.
  • Foster connections between students, campus resources, and community services, enhancing their overall educational experience.
  • Contribute to registration, recruitment, and retention efforts, ensuring a smooth and supportive transition for new students.
  • Collaborate with the program director on accreditation reports, self-studies, and site visits, upholding the highest standards of educational excellence.
Requirements
  • A minimum of an Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • Candidates must hold current Phlebotomy certification and CPR certification; additional medical assisting certification is preferred.
  • Proven understanding of educational theory and techniques, with previous experience teaching in phlebotomy or medical assisting programs.
  • Strong skills with technology and its application in instruction are essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • A commitment to student success and an inclusive learning environment is expected.
Estimated Salary Range

$40,000 - $60,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
