Library Assistant

As a Library Student Assistant at Pace University, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and other library patrons. Under the supervision of the Head of Research and Circulation Services, you will perform essential technical circulation functions while contributing to a welcoming library environment.

• Assist patrons with locating materials and provide referrals to relevant resources
• Shelve and arrange books, CDs, DVDs, and other library materials
• Operate library software and equipment, including primary computer, internet, and audio/visual equipment
• Collaborate with staff to check materials for damage and remove them from shelves
• Help set up public spaces for events and programs

• Current enrollment as a student at Pace University
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-service mindset
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable using technology, including library software
