  • Nutritional Care Planning: Develop and implement individualized nutritional plans for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, taking into account their medical condition and departmental policies.
  • Patient Prioritization: Utilize daily Dietitian Census Reports to prioritize patients at high risk, ensuring timely intervention and effective care.
  • Supplement Management: Initiate supplements, snacks, calorie counts, and consistency changes as needed to support patient recovery.
  • Evidence-Based Practice: Stay up-to-date with current research and incorporate evidence-based practices into clinical decision-making.
  • Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between the Nutritional Services Department and other hospital departments, facilitating communication and collaboration.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Foods and Nutrition-related subject matter, with a Dietetic Internship or equivalent training.
  2. Certification: Registered Dietitian certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  3. Licensure: Current licensure as a Dietitian in the State of Georgia.
  4. Specialized Training: Possess specialized training in the indicated specific population.
  5. Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
