Position Summary:
Graham Packaging Company is seeking a molding machine technician. The shift schedule may vary between 12-hour and 8-hour shifts depending on operational requirements.
Compensation:
$23.37 per hour
Additional $1.00 for night shifts.
Weekly pay and benefits commence from day one.
Training Information:
All machine operators undergo a comprehensive training program lasting 2-3 months during daytime hours.
If daytime training is not feasible, please inform the recruiter during the initial screening process (exceptions may apply).
Following training, employees will transition to their designated shifts.The molding machine technicians will oversee production lines throughout their assigned shifts, ensuring adherence to company policies and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Understand, adhere to, and enforce all established safety, health, quality, GMP, and company policies.
Assign personnel to production equipment according to the shift schedule and break times to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives and related activities as assigned.
Monitor safety, security, and cleanliness, enforcing company policies to mitigate accidents and manage associated costs.
Address production and quality issues that arise during shifts. Conduct regular quality checks and provide guidance to operations and quality staff.
Complete necessary documentation as required.
Participate in all production, safety, and shift meetings.
Assist the Production Manager in evaluating shift operations and recommending changes to organization, personnel, equipment, and procedures.
Follow work orders and ensure correct product codes are utilized.
Accurately report production metrics.
Troubleshoot and adjust machinery and equipment as needed.
Inspect materials prior to usage.
Travel may be required up to 25%.
Qualifications:
Molding machine technicians must effectively interact with managers, colleagues, vendors, and customers.
Essential skills and qualifications include:
Consistent, reliable attendance.
Proficiency in computer usage and typing.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive demeanor and delivering excellent customer service.
Capability to work independently and complete assignments within established guidelines and standard practices.

Clearly conveys information both verbally and in writing.

Compensation Information:
The anticipated salary range for this position is determined in accordance with legal requirements in various jurisdictions within the United States.
