Job Summary

As a Senior Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting quality inspections and tests to ensure that all parts and assemblies meet or exceed customer requirements, design specifications, and company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Quality Inspections: Conduct first part, in-process, and final inspections of parts/assemblies to ensure operator accuracy and traceability documentation is complete.
  • Verify Conformance: Conduct various quality tests verifying conformance to design and print specifications using equipment such as calipers, thickness gauge micrometers, height gauge, hand gauges, computer radius gauge, pie tapes, optical comparator, manual CMM, and precision hand measuring equipment.
  • Inspect for Defects: Visually inspect parts for any defects, including but not limited to, blemishes, char, voids, and cracks.
  • Maintain Quality Records: Maintain quality records as required by the Quality Management System.
  • Conduct Incoming Receiving Inspections: Conduct incoming receiving inspections as required by the Quality Management System.
  • Request Corrections: Request corrections of routers and prints, initiate NCR's, MRB's, and CAR's.
  • Communicate with Teams: Communicate with Engineering and Manufacturing as needed.
  • Participate in Problem Solving: Participate in problem-solving analysis and solutions as requested.
Requirements
  • Education/Certifications: High School Diploma/equivalent
  • Skills and Experience: Previous experience using basic hand tools, such as calipers, micrometers, OGP, manual CMM, gage pins, etc., in the inspection of parts; previous experience reading blueprints/applying basic shop math; basic mechanical skills and computer skills helpful.
