About the Role:
As a School Bus Driver with First Student, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from school. Our drivers are dedicated professionals who prioritize the well-being and safety of our passengers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a school bus in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Utilize our industry-leading technology to navigate daily routes and ensure timely arrivals.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license for at least 3 years.
- At least 21 years old.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Subject to a drug screen and physical.
- Subject to DOT drug testing.
What We Offer:
- A starting wage of $19 per hour.
- Paid CDL training.
- A guarantee of 5 hours of work per day.
- Additional hours available through charter route opportunities.
- A child ride-along program.
- No nights or weekends.
