Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Barista to join our team at The Ocean Caf at Nye Beach. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving high-quality drinks and food, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet all customers and guests with a smile, develop a rapport with regulars, and provide personalized service to ensure a positive experience.
  • Drink and Food Preparation: Prepare and serve high-quality drinks and food following company recipes and procedures, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Sales and Customer Engagement: Sell and serve baked or packaged goods to customers, and actively share and educate customers on products and services.
  • Cash Handling and Operations: Accurately ring sales orders into a cash register, count back change, and maintain a clean and organized cash handling area.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Maintain a positive and professional attitude, and communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications: Must obtain an Oregon Food Handling Certificate.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear, and regularly required to lift and move items up to 45 pounds.
  • Work Environment: Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and be willing to learn about various types of coffee, tea products, blends, and roasts.
