Job Title: Meteorology Content Creator

Description:

KVAL is seeking a skilled Meteorology Content Creator to develop and present engaging weekend weather forecasts, as well as fill in on weather-related news for three days a week.

Main Responsibilities:

• Forecasting, producing, and presenting clear and concise weathercasts that captivate viewers and connect them with the story behind the forecast.
• Issuing timely warnings and alerts, creating informative graphics and maps, and reporting live during severe weather events.
• Utilizing social media effectively during severe weather situations, while also writing compelling weather stories.
• Making public appearances on behalf of the station to represent its brand and values.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Demonstrating the ability to craft memorable and meaningful weather stories that resonate with the audience.
• Showcasing experience with active and visual live shots that convey essential information.
• Having in-depth knowledge of forecasting principles and techniques.
• Being able to multitask effectively while meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks.
• Possessing a Bachelor's degree in Meteorology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• Including a link to their online demo reel when applying.
