Key Responsibilities- Provide safe, family-centered patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating lactation plans for breastfeeding/chest-feeding dyads and pumping parents.
- Collaborate with patients, families, significant others, and healthcare teams to provide comprehensive lactation support.
- Function within the Scope of Practice as defined by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) and adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines of care.
- Minimum of two years of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- Certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) within one year of hire.
