POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Services Supervisor (CSS) plays a pivotal role in the delivery of nursing services under the guidance of the Health Center Manager. This position entails overseeing clinical operations, ensuring adherence to best practices, and maintaining medical and laboratory equipment. The CSS will assist in patient care and treatment, fulfilling physically demanding tasks as required. Collaboration with the Health Center Manager is essential to achieve clinic productivity targets while ensuring high levels of patient satisfaction and quality care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage in patient management related to clinical services, considering cultural sensitivities and local resources.
- Ensure efficient patient flow within the clinic, prioritizing timely care.
- Assist in patient rooming, taking vital signs, and administering treatments as directed.
- Monitor and document patient symptoms and progress, reporting findings to the healthcare provider.
- Administer medications and immunizations as per provider instructions.
- Coordinate with the Care Team to facilitate comprehensive patient services.
- Educate patients and families, preparing pre-visit checklists and leading team discussions.
- Document all care coordination activities accurately in medical records.
- Track and compile outstanding test results for follow-up care.
- Maintain and operate medical and laboratory equipment, assisting providers as necessary.
- Collaborate with the Quality Improvement Department to meet regulatory compliance.
- Conduct clinic audits and ensure proper medication management.
- Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training sessions.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Exhibit professionalism in all patient interactions, adhering to customer service standards.
- Adapt to a high-volume patient environment, managing frequent changes and challenges.
- Uphold safety policies and infection control regulations.
- Demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity in patient care.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
SUPERVISORY ROLE
This position includes indirect supervision of back office staff, such as medical assistants, under the guidance of licensed healthcare professionals. The CSS will mentor and train staff, ensuring compliance with clinical competencies and performance standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Successful candidates will possess the following:
- Graduation from an accredited LVN program and a current LVN license from the State of California.
- A minimum of two years of recent experience in an ambulatory care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and EHR systems.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must pass a background check and drug screening upon hire. Compliance with annual health examinations and immunization requirements is mandatory.
