Job Summary:

Mustang Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating students with speech and language deficits, developing and implementing individualized education programs, and providing therapy services to students in regular and special education settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students with speech and language deficits and develop individualized education programs to address their needs.
  • Implement therapy services to students in regular and special education settings, including one-on-one and group therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support students with speech and language deficits.
  • Assess student progress and make recommendations for continued therapy or other interventions as needed.
  • Participate in eligibility, IEP, and placement team meetings to ensure that students receive the services they need.
  • Provide training and support to teachers and other staff members on strategies for supporting students with speech and language deficits.
  • Stay current with best practices in speech and language therapy and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.


Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field.
  • Current certification or licensure in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Experience working with students with speech and language deficits in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.


Working Conditions:

The Speech Language Pathologist will work in a school setting, providing therapy services to students in regular and special education settings. The successful candidate will be able to stand, walk, and move long distances throughout the day, and will be able to lift up to 10 pounds frequently. The Speech Language Pathologist will also be required to work in inclement weather and to do outside duties as needed.
