Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, assemble, and distribute meals to patients/residents and visitors in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Adhere to safe food handling procedures and maintain a clean and sanitized work environment.
  • Transport equipment, meals, and supplies to various destinations as requested by supervisors.
  • Perform basic math functions and accurately handle cash and credit transactions.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read and write English, follow oral and written instructions, and clearly communicate with colleagues and patients.
  • Ability to tell time and read a clock, and perform basic math functions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.

Working Conditions:

  • Exposed to hazards from electrical/mechanical/power equipment, housekeeping/cleaning agents/chemicals, and flammable/explosive gases.
  • Subject to burns and cuts, extreme cold and heat, and varying degrees of kitchen elements.
  • Exposed to standing and walking most of the workday, and frequent contact with water or other liquids.
