Responsibilities:


The Safety and Security Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment for all individuals on CommonSpirit Health properties. This position is responsible for safeguarding the physical integrity of facilities and grounds.

The specialist is expected to embody the core values of CommonSpirit Health, demonstrating compassion and professionalism in all interactions.

Support for the organization's strategic objectives and involvement in quality improvement initiatives are essential components of this role.


Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:


At least six (6) months of experience as a security officer in a healthcare or hospital environment, or prior law enforcement or military experience; alternatively, one (1) year of experience as a security officer.

Consideration may be given for six (6) months of satisfactory experience within CommonSpirit Health in any capacity.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; or three (3) years of experience as a security officer.

Possession of a valid Guard Card.

AHA BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
