", "Duties and Responsibilities": "

As a Mechanic/Vehicle Technician at Spee-Dee Delivery, you will be responsible for:

  • Diagnosing and repairing gasoline engines and other powertrain components
  • Performing routine truck inspections and maintenance of fleet equipment
  • Helping maintain an effective and clean work environment
  • Using scan tool and laptop technology
  • Following reasonable instructions from shift leader
  • Working independently and/or with team

You will also be required to:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical exam
  • Must be able to spend a minimum of eight hours on feet
  • Work environment involves ability to bend, kneel, crouch, walk and drive

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two years technical instruction in diesel or auto mechanics
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle or be willing to learn

We offer flexible scheduling options to fit your needs:

  • Monday-Thursday, 3:00PM start, Friday 12:00PM start
  • Monday-Thursday, 11:00PM start, Friday 6:00PM start

Occasional Saturdays may be required for full-time employees.

We offer paid overtime at time and a half after 40 hours per week.

Starting wage: $20.00-$33.00 per hour, based on experience, plus $2 per hour shift differential.
