Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality imaging procedures using CT scanners, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Prepare and maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to strict sterility protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to alleviate anxiety and ensure seamless care.
  • Verify patient identification and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Monitor patient conditions before and after contrast injections, reporting any sudden changes to nursing staff and radiologists.
  • Ensure availability of medical records, previous reports, labs, and patient history.
  • Participate in emergency response situations, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory and stocking of supplies, notifying lead personnel of expired or soon-to-expire equipment or medications.
  • Clean and inventory supplies, participating in routine cleaning of CT gantries, tables, and peripheral equipment.
  • Triages procedures according to daily schedules, ensuring timely coordination of emergency and unscheduled procedure requests.
  • Assign staff to ensure efficient workflow, maintaining an environment of patient safety.
  • Communicate with all departments and floors regarding patient status, ensuring immediate patient transport post-procedure.
  • Assess patient ability to tolerate contrast, screen for allergies/medication incompatibilities, and clean CT units and rooms after each use.
  • Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of working areas, notifying coordinators or lead personnel of equipment malfunctions.
  • Adhere to QA/QC requirements for daily, monthly, and ACR specifications, recognizing unusual conditions in equipment operation and alerting appropriate personnel.
  • Adhere to venipuncture and power injector protocols, notifying radiologists of unusual findings and providing optimum care for patients.
