Finish Specialist Job Description

Duncan Aviation is seeking a skilled Finish Specialist to join our team. As a Finish Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and applying finishes to aircraft surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare aircraft surfaces for paint or finish, including cleaning and sanding.
  • Apply stains, dyes, paints, or finishes to prepared parts, mixing as needed.
  • Perform basic detail work, polishing, and cleanup on finished items.
  • Conduct structural and decorative repairs as required.
  • Research, prepare, and sign off various documents for record-keeping purposes.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one year related experience required for Finish Specialist I, two years for Finish Specialist II, and four years for Finish Specialist III.
  • Aviation finish experience preferred.
