Baptist Health Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our surgical services department, you will be responsible for directing and overseeing the daily activities of the unit on an assigned shift.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and facilitate the efficient flow of patient care activities in the department/area.
- Manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care through the use of the nursing process and primary nursing principles.
- Work with surgeons and anesthesia providers to direct and coordinate workflows.
- Perform circulator and/or scrub roles as relief for breaks/lunches or to do cases.
- Maintain responsibility for staffing, including daily staff assignments and staffing coverage for call-ins or gaps in the schedule.
- Direct other licensed and non-licensed personnel in the provision of care to patients as assigned.
- Communicate and coordinate with surgeons and anesthesia providers effectively to direct and manage efficient workflow.
- Associates Degree in Nursing or Technical Diploma/Certificate in Nursing required.
- 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a surgical services area required.
- Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida or eligible compact state license required.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) American Heart Association certification required.
