About the Role:

The Medical Assistant (MA) supports the provider by performing essential patient care tasks including, but not limited to, obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting specimens, along with necessary clerical duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists physicians with patient evaluations, examinations, and treatments.
  • Records patient care observations and activities in accordance with professional standards and protocols
  • Prepares for various procedures and assists physicians as required

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a medical assistant program or completion of advanced medical training programs such as EMT, EMT-P, LPN, or Military Medical Corpsman training course and/or current enrollment in a nursing program, and/or 2-3 years of prior medical office experience
  • Nationally recognized Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of prioritizing tasks
  • Exceptional customer service skills. Must be able to collaborate effectively within a team
