Lead EV Charging Infrastructure Development Engineer

EVgo, a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, is seeking a project-oriented engineering director to drive continuous improvements in infrastructure design and deployment.
Role Summary:
We are looking for an experienced engineering leader with commercial system design and construction background to manage and lead infrastructure design associated with our public network. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the charging infrastructure meets development requirements and exceeds customer expectations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Engineering: Lead initiatives associated with design standardization, cost reduction, and project/product safety.
- Team Management: Develop, maintain, and drive continuous enhancements within the development engineering team by implementing best practices meeting business needs.
- Project Coordination: Produce high-level scope of work and track project deadlines and deliverables for various initiatives driving standardization and efficiency within the organization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate regular coordination needed for cross-functional engagement on initiatives associated with standardization and efficiency through engineering and construction practices.
- Documentation and Release: Lead and manage documentation and release processes associated with standardization and other initiatives.
- Analysis and Reporting: Perform detailed analysis on justification and business need for various initiatives driving standardization and consistency through engineering and cost reduction initiatives.
- Project Metrics: Define and maintain project development metrics to monitor throughput, cost, and quality of the project development pipeline.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering preferred, PE preferred.
- Minimum 10 years experience in engineering, consulting, and construction, and energy industry.
- Minimum 5 years of engineering supervising experience.
- Self-driven and capable of operating with minimum supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and data analytics skillset managing multiple projects and portfolio.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to EV charging.
- Understanding of distribution network and utility/AHJ requirements.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce or enterprise CRM systems.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal communication, negotiation, and management skills.
Compensation Package:
The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
