We are seeking an Outpatient Psychiatrist to join our team at Headlight. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health care to our clients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
Responsibilities- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs, including review of medical history and collection of additional information as needed.
- Treatment Planning: Develop effective treatment plans for clients, including medication management and therapy.
- Medication Management: Prescribe and manage medications for clients, as needed.
- Collaboration with Colleagues: Work collaboratively with other clinicians and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients.
- Continuing Education: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in mental health care through ongoing education and training.
- Medical Degree: Must have a medical degree and completed an approved psychiatric residency.
- Board Certification: Must be board certified with The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
- Full, Unencumbered MD License: Must have a full, unencumbered MD license in the state where you practice.
- Active DEA: Must have an active DEA in the state where you practice.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions to a non-medical audience.
- Strong Observation Skills: Must have strong observation skills, with the ability to accurately evaluate clients' demeanor and identify symptoms.
- Great Bedside Manner: Must have a great bedside manner, with the ability to remain calm, empathetic, and patient when interacting with clients who suffer from severe mental disorders.
- W-2 Role: This is a W-2 role, with medical, dental, and vision benefits effective on the first of the month after employment.
- Base Salary and Monthly Bonus: The base salary and monthly bonus are based on billed hours.
