Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to work in a hospital setting in Belfast, Maine. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor and delivery nursing, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to labor and delivery patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitor and manage patient vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and fetal heart rate.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
  • Participate in emergency situations, such as code blues and obstetric emergencies.
  • Document patient information, including medical history, allergies, and treatment plans.
Requirements:
  • Current Maine Registered Nurse License/Certification
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • 1-2 years of recent relevant experience in labor and delivery nursing
