About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist our engineering team in the field. As a Field Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for:

  • Interpreting design drawings and specifications to ensure accurate installation of materials.
  • Preparing drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, and estimates.
  • Coordinating work schedules with subcontractors to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Verifying completed work meets applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.
  • Establishing exterior and interior grade and working lines for contractors and crafts.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in an accredited college or university, preferably in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Evidence of high academic achievement and prior leadership experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A valid driver's license may be required, subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check.
Working Conditions:

This role requires occasional positioning of objects, operating tools, and using computer keyboards. You will also need to remain stationary for extended periods, move to access people or machinery, and occasionally ascend/descend ladders or stairs. The employee must regularly move up to 20 pounds and occasionally move up to 50 pounds. Specific abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The working conditions of this position require the employee to work both inside and outside in various weather conditions. You will be required to use personal protective equipment to maintain safety and prevent exposure to harmful materials. The environment may be exposed to prolonged loud noises and contain scents and fragrances.
