Bank Teller

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Teller to join our team at American National Bank & Trust. As a Teller, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling cash transactions, and maintaining a cash drawer.

1. Provide excellent customer service to all customers, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
2. Handle cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and cashier checks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
3. Maintain a cash drawer, balancing and reconciling transactions on a daily basis.
4. Perform opening and closing procedures, including counting and verifying cash and securities.
5. Close checking and savings accounts as necessary, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
6. Transfer funds between accounts, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
7. Process night deposits, verifying and reconciling transactions.
8. Answer telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues.
9. Accept loan and mortgage payments, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
10. Stock and order desk and teller supplies as needed, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
11. Scan and balance daily teller work, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
12. Release instant issue debit cards to customers, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
13. Process savings bonds being cashed in, verifying and reconciling transactions.
14. Fill out CTRs as required, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
15. Fill and balance ATM machines, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
16. Process teller transactions to and from the vault, balancing and reconciling transactions.
17. Order and sell vault cash to the main bank, verifying and reconciling transactions.
18. Perform end-of-day recap, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A high school degree or GED equivalent, with an emphasis on office skills.
• 12-18 months of related cash-handling experience, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Strong mathematical skills, with the ability to accurately handle cash transactions and balance accounts.
• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer service.

This is an indoor position, with a moderate noise level. You will be required to sit, stand, talk, and hear for extended periods, with frequent use of hands to handle and feel objects. You may occasionally lift, move, push, or pull up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
